FEATURED RESIDENCE

CUSTOM VACATION LOG CABIN, ROCKWOOD, ME

Hard to believe this custom built cabin on beautiful Brassua Lake was sitting idle for ten years before Wicked Builders was hired to design and build the entire interior of what is now known as Bear Cove Hideaway in Rockwood, ME.  In the dead of a northern Maine Winter, our team transformed an empty shell of a cabin into a home:

  • Having little more than very rough (and old) architectural blueprints, designed the entire floor plan

  • Completed all rough and finish carpentry and plumbing, including a sophisticated radiant heating system

  • Built new dormers to expand the top floor living space (in February!)

  • Stained and installed shiplap on the lofted, exposed ceiling and walls.

  • Installed nearly 2,000 square feet of hardwood flooring throughout the first and second floors

  • Installed tile throughout the finished basement

  • Installed cabinets and shelving, masoned walls, poured cement counter tops, put in the backsplash, and hooked up all appliances in the kitchen

  • Custom-built floating stairs to the loft from live edge wood

  • Project managed all phases of construction in a highly rural, wooded, secluded environment

The cabin is now enjoyed by renting vacationers from all over the continent who come to the cabin to fish, hunt, boat, snowmobile, or do nothing at all.
